Ballerina

Gracie started her ballet and tap lessons last week. When I told her it was time to get ready for her lessons, she screamed, "REALLY MOMMY??? Oh, my DREAM has come TRUE!!!" I have to admit that watching her in her little pink leotard dance, spin, jump and tap around the studio was one of the cutest things I have ever seen! One other funny thing she said to me after dressing up in just about every piece of play jewelry she owns plus a pink princess outfit: "Mommy, a princess is ALWAYS prepared." Have no idea where she got that from, but she is most definitely correct!

Apple picking with the Copes

Here we have our little pre-kindergartner all ready for her first day of school with her pretend cell phone, fuzzy purse and animal friend "Austin!" Gracie did so well on her first day- even better than her mommy! Imagine that. :)
Three amigos (Benny, Jonah and Grace) at the zoo in the Butterfly House.
Sweet little Everlie giving me one of those priceless smiles!
On the carousel at the zoo.
Jonah is constantly talking or reading about "Wee-000, wee-ooo's" (firetrucks) and was so excited to sit in one and talk to a real fireman!

End of the summer...

We have lots to catch up on. This past week was rather rough for the mommy of the family as she came to the realization that her little girl (who seems to have just been born) was starting pre-kindergarten. I am so very thankful to have healthy, happy children but just can't accept how fast they are growing up. This was something people tried to tell me about but it's one of those things that until it happens to you, you just don't understand! So, to mask my sadness, I told the kids that for an entire week, they could pick anything they wanted to do in the St. Louis area and we would do it to celebrate the end of our fun, relaxing summer days. So here we go...

We are going backwards.. DAY FIVE:
This was actually the "finale" day where we had ice cream (chocolate brownie flavor for all of us) for lunch! The kids kept saying, "Are we really just eating ice cream for lunch???" Gracie even said, "What's wrong with you mommy??" I laughed at that comment for the rest of the day!

DAY FOUR:
Here is a very serious, tired tractor driver at the Magic House. It's hard work moving all of that sand!
This is Jonah's favorite thing to see at the Magic House... a little mouse in it's "mouse house." I think he'd stay here for an hour if I'd let him!
Ice cream, anyone??

Happy Gracie!

DAY THREE:
Fun times at Kirkwood Park. What kid can get enough sand, water, and playground time??

DAY TWO: This day was spent running errands and going to another park. I forgot our camera.
DAY ONE: Fun time at home. Below we have Spiderman Jonah and Spiderfairy Grace showing their superhero muscles!
I LOVE MY KIDS!! :)
