Okay, you may think that this title is a bit of an exaggeration, but to our family, the following really is a true miracle!!!
Just wanted to announce to the world that our son, Jonah, slept until 6:50 am this morning!!! My, was it nice to sleep past 4:45 am!!!! Aaron and I were shocked. This is the latest Jonah has ever slept. I guess partly because we were able to go outside and enjoy the wonderful, warm weather yesterday for a change. No need for strollers anymore! Both Grace and Jonah are great walkers. Jonah can even out-walk his big sister. (Just ask our good buddy Eric C. about our hike!) Anyway, I am sure it helped to get most of his pent up energy out and lots of fresh air! Maybe I will only need one cup of coffee today instead of three, or four, or five... ha ha ha!! Life is good!!!

GRACE
Here is the first time Gracie wrote her name (where you could actually read it) !
Goggle time. Something about seeing goggles on Jonah makes Gracie bust out into the greatest belly laughs.
One of my favorite times of the day- the opportunity to hold my babies closely to me for an extended amount of time!!
(Any of you mothers know what I mean??)
We have reached a few milestones in the past two weeks! My precious Gracie can write her name! I just can't even believe I am typing that sentence out. My, how the time flies!! She has also decided that she no longer needs a nap. I am not convinced of this decision after observing and dealing with a cranky, irrational little girl later in the evening. She is really asserting her independence and is putting up a true fight when nap time rolls around. We think this could be a result of missing her daddy while he studies like a mad man. Aaron is completing his Masters this semester by doubling up on courses while working full-time. This makes for lots of fun times for him (yes, I am being sarcastic) and a very, very missed daddy and husband.
Everyday, Gracie is a new character. Lately, she has enjoyed pretending to be Austin, the purple Kangaroo from the Backyardigans and baby Jesus. Aaron and I are often corrected as to what name we are supposed to be calling her that day. I got a very strange look from a little old lady in the store a few days ago when she asked Gracie what her name was and she said, "It's Austin."
Jonah is really talking like a big boy now! Here are some of his favorite things to say:
"No, no, no sissy, that's DONAH's toy!"
"Daddy, play choo choo twacks in Donah's room, right now?"
"Donah need McQueen fruit snacks mommy."
"Mommy making supper? Donah help you?"
Last night when we were praying together, I opened my eyes to sneak a peak at how cute he was laying there in his crib with his eyes closed while praying. All of the sudden, he opened his eyes and said, "Mommy, cwose your eyes!"
Jonah has had a huge growth spurt, growing 2+ inches in height in the past three months. His daddy is very proud of this.
