This one's for you Ed... ha ha ha.

We had family here this past week and here are a few pictures of all the fun we had!
Grace and Aaron at the New Town Pool under the water talking to one another.
Grandma and Jonah
Uncle Josh and Jonah catching some rays... A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!
Aaron and "Ariel" the Mermaid. (Notice the crossed legs that represent the mermaid tail.)
I had so much trouble downloading pics this time around and they all ended up in random order. Here are the kids with Owen Greer. We were so excited to keep baby Owen this past Thursday and Friday. He is such an amazingly sweet baby.
Grace and Jonah were the best helpers and were so sweet and gentle toward him! Jonah cried for 20 minutes when he left. "I mish (miss) baby O-eee!" He gives little babies he loves "love" names (i.e. "O-eee)
Gracie girl at the Amphitheater.
Family: Gracie, Grandma, Kelly, Jonah, Uncle Josh and Aunt Claire listening to a little jazz.
Big hug on the grass. There's always time for a little lovin'!
Uncle Noah and Grandma in deep conversation during our lounging, home run backyard derby, washer playing, and bubble blowing.
Three brothers golf at Pevely Farms.
Aaron, Josh and Noah
Can you tell they are related?

Thanks for all of the fun guys! We loved having you here!!

Dancing in the coffee shop

While in Douglas, Michigan, we stumbled upon a quaint little coffee shop where a very friendly man was playing his guitar. We let the kids pick out a treat to eat (ring pops) while the adults enjoyed their yummy latte. Grace and Jonah had a great time dancing to his music while eating their ring pops! Here is a sample of the fun...

Michigan and Indiana Dunes

Here we are on the "Duck Bus" tour. Jonah was in awe that the actual wheels went under the water. Gracie got very tired on the boat!

Here is Jonah playing "Choo choo track stickers" with his "Spy-dir-ma-in" sunglasses.

Jonah and Aaron coming down one big dune!

Jonah and Grandma playing with toys. He thought it was so funny that the water would come up and "try to take his toys away"!! This got some great belly laughs from Jonah.
We just returned from a fun little trip to Indiana and Michigan. We started off visiting the Indiana Dunes State Park which is right on the lake and also adjacent to the largest sand dunes I have ever seen! We had planned on hiking on the dunes, but the sand felt like it was at least 300 degrees so we climbed up, up, up and then down, down, down and into the water we jumped! I was for sure we were all getting 3rd degree burns on our feet from the sand but I was wrong.

The beach was beautiful and the lake water a very nice temperature. Gracie, our little water-loving girl had no fear and swam her little heart out. The entire trip she was either "Ariel" from the Little Mermaid or "Tasha" who is another mermaid on the Backyardigans. She kept crossing her legs under the water to show us her "mermaid tail"... Jonah loved scooting his "shand carsh" (sand cars) all around the sand and eventually warmed up to swimming in the water as well. Thankfully, our kids have a dad that loves to get in ANY water and swim with them!

We then drove over to Saugatuck, Michigan and stayed there for 3 nights. The weather was amazing and the beach there was so nice! The kids slept in the same room and got a big kick out of that. It took them a while to settle down but they would eventually go to sleep. They even did a lot of nap skipping and still hung in there with the big kids...

Jonah called seagulls "eagles" and when one would fly over he'd say, "Yook, der is an EAGLE GWAN-MA!"
